Youngsters deliver at Second County Development Meet

16th November 2010

Remembrance Sunday was a busy day for the up and coming swimmers of Atlantis SC. After a superbly well observed 2 minute silence at the Prince Regent Swimming Pool in Brighton the racing was underway in earnest.

This was the second day of racing the first being a fortnight earlier. The meet is organised to give swimmers the chance to gain County Qualifying times for the Sussex Championships held in February.

It was going to be a tough act to follow the previous event but once again the great form of the swimmers shone through. With a massive 70 Personal Best swims, 17 of which were County times the club once again left Brighton with mission accomplished.

To add to that achievement the following swimmers all finished with 1st positions in their races, which is always a great bonus to this meet. Joe Nehme (11); Jess Matlock (10); Tegan Jenkins (12); George Boyle (12); Eve Clarke (9); Aimee Davies (11); Isobel Davies (14) and Issy Harrod on her birthday secured a 1st Place in the toughest swimming event on the calendar the 200M Butterfly.

A special well done to Issy and Happy Birthday!
