Following the monthly Atlantis Committee meeting last night, I am delighted to be able to announce that Cameron Lambourne has been appointed our new Boys’ Junior Club Captain in succession to Howard Blyth.
Cameron has worked very hard and has achieved great success in the pool over the last 12 months, achieving a string of firsts for Atlantis – first National Age Group medallist, first regional record holder and most recently the first Atlantis swimmer to be selected for International honours. Through his commitment and performances he will be a great role model for younger swimmers and a fantastic ambassador for the Club. His first outing in his new role will be the Sussex League First Division Gala this Saturday against East Grinstead and Hastings. He joins our existing team of Club Captains: Jonny Blyth, Katy Harris and Issy Dunlop.
I want to take this opportunity to thank Howard for his stint as a Junior Club Captain. I am delighted that he will continue to compete for the Club; he is a key member of our League Squad and has over the years been one of our most effective competitors and accumulator of gala points.
