Further update from Sheffield.

28th July 2013

Lily Davis has just taken part in her first ever National final!

Starting in lane 9 and the 10th fastest qualifier she was given a target by Andy to turn at 50 in at least 9th Place. Lily didn't manage to do that she missed by 0.5 but swan a fantastic last 50 to pip the girl in the lane next to her and finish overall in 9th place.

Andy was thrilled with her performance and posted home " Myself and Bill are delighted that Lily has done so well in her first outing at Nationals. It can be very nerve racking but she put in some extremely solid swims and showed her natural racing instinct. It has been a pleasure to be in Sheffield this week with three fantastic swimmers from our club and although there was a touch of sadness with Eleanor and Kate moving on at the end of the season we can be very proud as a club of our swimmers and I believe there will always be a bit of black and yellow in the girls veins!"
