News from Andy in Sheffield.
27th July 2013
Saturday morning has been a great success for the girls of Atlantis up in Sheffield at the Nationals.
With all three having raced the 200's earlier in the week with good success, this morning has been a great day with Lily Davis making the final tonight of the 100m breaststroke.
Lily improved her entry time by 1.2 secs to qualify in 10th position for the final. Unlike Youth Nationals there are no Semi Finals and Andy Lobley up in Sheffield relayed back " We are thrilled with Lily today what a great swim and fantastic experience for her. She really is up against the best in the country in her age group and has performed so well. We can treat the final with enjoyment and really learn from the whole experience". Eleanor Morris and Kate Windle have also swum really well in the pressure cooker of Nationals with Eleanor also making a good PB and Kate just slightly outside.
Andy also relayed back " the standard of swimming up here this year is outstanding and we should be excited that we have managed to get so many of our swimmers to this competition in the first place"
