A great finale to the Arena national League season.

9th December 2012

It was always going to be a challenge to remain in the National Premier League - South , with so many top clubs and swimmers competing , which meant we went into the final gala, held at Horsham, having to come in the top two placed teams to remain in the Premier division of swimming clubs in the country .

We lined up against Wycombe District , Staines A , Bromley , Basingstoke A and City of Canterbury in the swim off . It was a packed gallery at the Pavillions who watched a very tense night of swimming where the Atlantis squad did themselves proud , coming in a very credible 4th place, which ultimately means the club will be competing in Division One South next season.

The club has many talented younger swimmers who along with the more senior squad, will look to come back with a vengeance next season . Head Coach Bill Penny said "It was a fantastic experience for our swimmers to compete at such a high level, and they can be very proud of their achievements. We will, as a club, continue to work hard and with the talented pool of swimmers we are developing here, will look forward to competing in Division One next year "
