Windle Repeats National Success

Atlantis SC were in action at the South East Regional championships this weekend. Swimming under the banner of Sussex Seahawks for the first time, the first of two weekends of competition proved to be a very successful one for the team. Sussex Seahawks was formed in December by four of Sussex leading clubs to offer the opportunity for club swimmers to train and compete at high level competition together. Although in its infant stage still the results showed much promise for all the clubs and the team spirit poolside was fantastic. Kate Windle stole the show on Sunday afternoon achieving her National Qualifying time in the 200M Breaststroke for the second year to join Beth Britton who again repeated her 100M Free National time in Sheffield at the end of July. There were notable swims from all the other Atlantis swimmers with Ella Windle, Aimee Davies, Yasmin Hooker, Eleanor Morris, Lily Davis, Lauren Pedel, Rose Stride and Edward Hundleby waving the flag for Atlantis SC. Atlantis Deputy Head Coach, Andy Lobley, said We are obviously delighted for Kate and all her teammates. These guys work really hard and spend hours training so to see such great results is really satisfying for the whole club.
