Crawley Level 3 Long Course Opportunity Meet

6th October 2011

Atlantis SC made the short journey to Crawley last weekend to take part in the first 50Metre pool meet of the season.

Atlatis had a strong representation competing in what is always a competative competition.

Jade Stocker (13) is currently enjoying a rich vein of form and swam a fabulous 1.20.29 in the 100M breast. That puts her in a good position to push forward and reach the National Championships next summer. With many of the senior swimmers in very heavy training the results were above the expectations of the club with many beating or getting close to their personal PB's in many events.

Deputy Head Coach Andy Lobley said " I was delighted with the attitude of our swimmers today. They got into the racing early on and we had a great representation in all the events. Our medal count proved that the swimmers are in good shape despite our heavy training load and it bodes well for the next stage of the season"

Atlantis begin their National League campaign next weekend in Gillingham and it promises to be a close night with local rivals Crawley and East Grinstead all competing in the same gala.
