THREE ATLANTIS SWIMMERS TO COMPETE IN NATIONALS
Three Atlantis swimmers will by flying the flag for Horsham’s competitive swimming club Atlantis at the British Gas ASA National Youth Championships at the Ponds Forge 50m pool in Sheffield on 3rd - 7th August.

HASLEMERE HAPPY HUNTING-GROUND FOR ATLANTIS YOUNGSTERS
Following the efforts of the seniors the previous weekend in the Sussex League, it was the turn of the Atlantis youngsters to show what they can do at a Level 3 Meet at Haslemere.

ATLANTIS RUNNERS UP IN SUSSEX LEAGUE DIVISION 1
Horsham’s competitive swimming club Atlantis has finished runners-up in a nail-biting conclusion to the Sussex League. This is the Club’s highest ever finish in the competition and is a further indication of the Club’s continuing and steady march forward.

BREASTSTROKE BRAVEHEART BEX
Atlantis swimmer Bex Lobley stormed to a bronze medal and two national qualifying times at the British Gas Scottish National Swimming Championships at the 50m Pool on the edge of the leafy Tollcross Park in the East End of Glasgow, in a hugely successful foray north of the border last week.

Regional Championships – K2 Crawley
K2 once again played host to the South East Regional Championships last weekend, the final two days of competition for the age group swimmers from Atlantis SC.

Captain Cam leads the way at Age Group Championships
The first of four days intensive competition for the South East Regional Age Group Championships, spread over two weekends, started last Saturday and once again Atlantis Junior Club Captain Cameron Lambourne led by example winning Gold in the boys 100M freestyle.

Bracknell and Wokingham Open Meet May 2010
A small group of Atlantis swimmers descended on the Army Garrison town of Aldershot to compete last weekend at the Bracknell and Wokingham Level 1 Long Course Open Meet.

Senior girls’ Club Captain Katy Harris became the third Atlantis swimmer to achieve a qualifying time for the British Gas ASA National Youth and Age Group Championships in Sheffield in August.

ATLANTIS RULES THE WAVES IN BOGNOR REGIS
Sunday 25th April started in glorious sunshine as a large contingent of Atlantis SC headed down to the coast to take part in the Last Chance Regional Qualifier hosted by Littlehampton SC at the Arun Leisure Centre in Bognor Regis.

Over the weekend at the Portsmouth Easter Swimming Festival in the new 50m pool at the Mountbatten Centre, Atlantis Junior Girls’ Club Captain Issy Dunlop (15) secured her first qualifying time for the National Youth Championships.

Despite the thawing snow and torrential rain on Saturday night nothing could dampen the atmosphere at the Pavilions. Atlantis SC younger swimmers were competing against 1066, Redhill & Reigate, Beacon, East Grinstead, Littlehampton, Lewes and Tandridge.

ATLANTIS FINISH NATIONAL ARENA SWIMMING LEAGUE ON THE UP
Atlantis finished the National Arena Swimming League season on the up. The Horsham-based club came a very close second to home team Woking in the third and final NASL gala at the Pool in the Park on Saturday night, confirming a sustained improvement in performance over the three galas.

ATLANTIS ‘TOP TEAM’ IN A CHRISTMAS CRACKER
Atlantis swimmers enjoyed themselves at their own annual Christmas Cracker Open meet at the Pavilions on Sunday, emerging as the top team with 2490 points – 250 points clear of Shiverers SC, who took the Top Club Trophy for visiting clubs for the second year in a row. Atlantis swimmers won an incredible 58 medals – 23 golds, 17 silver and 18 bronze.

An incredible 74 records – 43 by the girls and 31 by the boys - were broken over the three evenings of the Atlantis Club Championships, which reached a climax on Saturday evening at the Pavilions.

Atlantis, Horsham’s competitive swimming club, has received support from Southern Water in advance of its critical National Arena Swimming League Division 1 Gala against three of the division’s current top four teams – East Grinstead, Dover Lifeguards and the Orpington Ojays. The gala on Saturday is being held at Atlantis’ home base at the Pavilions in Horsham and is the second in a series of three galas.

Atlantis swimmers felt right at home for Cranleigh Swimming Club’s Level 3 Licensed Meet on Sunday 4th October. The meet was being held at Atlantis’ Pavilions in the Park home base in Horsham due to the current closure of the Cranleigh pool. Atlantis swimmers took over 30 medals for 1st, 2nd or 3rd places.
